Start your day off with breakfast in our newly remodeled kitchen that includes a dishwasher and coffee maker! The main bathroom has also been refinished and has a tub/shower. An extra half bathroom is in the laundry room. The cottage has 3 bedrooms (one king, one queen and 2 twin bunk beds) that sleeps 8 comfortably. The water depth at the end of the dock is about 5 feet and is a great place to take those younger guests fishing or for a swim. About the Green Lake Area Green Lake, also known as Big Green Lake by the locals, is the deepest natural inland lake in Wisconsin with a max depth of 236 feet. The lake is over 7,900 acres and has over 27 miles of shoreline with bays, coves, points and peninsulas to explore. During the summer, activities such as boating, water skiing, wakeboarding, tubing, swimming, sailing, jet skiing, kayaking, canoeing, paddleboarding, and fishing are popular with our guests. Fish species include Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike, Trout, Walleye and Catfish. The Green Lake Sailing School offers sailing lessons to all age groups during the summer, and there are frequent regattas for different boat classes. The water stays clean and clear year round unlike a lot of lakes in the region. There are several places to eat right on the lake- You can take your boat over to each of them or a short ride in the car and you're there. Gas for your boat can be purchased on the lake at several Marinas and there is a boat landing about a 1/2 mile away from the house. This property is located on the southwest corner of Green Lake referred to as "the terrace". This side of the lake is shallow and all pure sandy bottom. This property is perfect for 1 real large family or 3-4 smaller families to share. There are 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. There is a large open concept kitchen and living room on the lower level that overlooks the beautiful lake. 1 bedroom is in the hallway off the kitchen but the other 4 are upstairs. The property sleeps 13 very comfortably in the 5 bedrooms and easily more using portable beds (not provided). The upper rec room area has a pool table, foosball table, dart board, large flat screen tv, private bathroom, couches and chairs, and is approximately 20x20. The property has a 150' pier that you can fish off of or tie off your boat. This is personally my all time favorite swimming lake because of how shallow it is and that its all sand. You can walk directly in off the boat house entrance to the water, or down the steps of the pier. This is a great place for kids to swim because of how shallow it is and how far out it goes before it gets very deep. Check out a Green Lake Map on google to see the depths of the lake. As you walk out from the shore towards deeper water, you have to get at least 50-100 yards before it goes below 5-6 ft deep. Green Lake is the deepest lake in the state which you wouldn't believe judging by how shallow it is on this end but it gets as deep as 262 ft and is great fishing including lake trout. You will love this property and really enjoy your time here. Great Irish Pub 5-6 doors down with phenominal food, and top rated golf 10 minutes away. What else do you need? Our home has been completely renovated with modern conveniences and brand new construction throughout the interior, from solid hardwood cypress flooring, knotty pine ceilings, and wrought iron fixtures to granite surfaces. This home was designed with family entertainment in mind. On the lakeside you can enjoy the 180 panoramic views of the water from the new patio while relaxing on the outdoor living room set enjoying the outdoor fire pit. This home is situated on 62 ft. of Green Lake frontage and has an expansive flat yard for lawn games. Five stone steps lead to the 4’ x 44’ dock. Swimming and rafting are enjoyable with the perfect water depth of 4-5 ft. off the end of the pier. Enjoy the sandy bottom shorelines for snorkeling on those calmer days. If you have a large boat or pontoon, no worries we provide a 5,000 lb boat lift available for your use during your stay. There are many wonderful things to do during the summer. Green Lake offers the best swimming area around with comfortable depths and sandy bottom - great for swimming and deep enough for virtually any size water craft. During the winter season take part in snowmobiling, ice fishing, sledding, skating and skiing. Step into the expansive Kitchen, Dining, and eat-at bar perfect for preparing that early morning breakfast or barbecue dinner. Off to the side in a cozy corner, you can curly up with a hot cup of coffee in one of the 2 chairs overlooking the expansive family room. New stainless steel appliances compliment this gourmet kitchen. Custom knotty pine cabinetry, granite counter tops give this country kitchen character and charm. Service for 13 includes ceramic dishes, small appliances (Keurig, coffee pot, blender, crock pot, mixer and toaster), cutlery, stainless steel utensils, pots and pans, and many kitchen ‘extras’ are stocked for ease-free entertaining. In the mornings, a stocked supply of coffee to help wake up our guests. Dine at our cozy butcher block table, seating for six (extra chairs available). The laundry room just off the kitchen includes a washer/dryer and a deep soaking sink (iron and ironing board for any touch ups during your stay). The vaulted Family Room continues beyond the kitchen with solid hardwood floor as well. The handsome gas fireplace is custom crafted of native river rock by local artisan Gerry Verdine. Easy to operate, with just a flick of switch you will be warmed within minutes. In the evening relax on one of the Italian leather sofas while watching one of the many DVD’s or books that are available to you. Back in the house, the rear hallway leads directly to a full-size bath, complete with custom tile, 4’ walk-in shower, and an antique style vanity with granite sink. At the end of the hallway, solid knotty pine doors open to a first floor Master bedroom with a double bed. Antique side tables with accent lamps surround this cozy bed – perfect for those that prefer to be on the first floor. Descending the stairway to the lower level, you immediately enter the lower Family room. Two queen futons face the large built-in flat screen TV. There’s plenty of room to relax while enjoying one of the many DVD’s available. Off to the side, is a game table hosting an over-sized checker set – just waiting for you to partake. A side door accessing the lakeside is perfect for when you return from fishing or for housing your water toys. A full-size bath is also located on this level, ideal for rinsing off after a long day on the water. Ascending up to the 2nd floor, one of two rear bedroom greets you with a Queen bedroom and great views of the backyard! A spacious closet and antique high-boy dresser are perfect to meet your storage needs. The room is accented with clean, fresh linens while a multi-speed fan hangs from the vaulted ceilings for a comfortable night’s sleep. The other rear bedroom is an oasis for kids! This room provides a bunk bed perfect for those who prefer to bunk with their little ones. There is a comfortable double bed on the lower level with a twin bunk above. A comfortable chair, antique dresser and expansive closet will provide you with all the storage you might need during your stay. A large hall bath has a travertine, walk-in shower and double granite sinks offers lots of counter space for your families stay. The Master Bedroom is the icing-on-the-cake! The warm paint scheme, vaulted ceiling, with multi-speed ceiling fan envelop our guests as you enter this master getaway. As evening extends, enjoy the sunset views. A queen-size bed is ready with upscale linens, surrounded by our antique furniture pieces, a wardrobe, and perfect to move into.
